What is an Intrasystem Visitor?
Students enrolled at a California State University may apply for a visitor's exchange to another CSU campus.
Incoming Eligibility Requirements
You must have completed at least one term at your "home" campus as a matriculated student.
You must be in good academic standing at your home campus, have a grade point average of 2.0 in all work completed at your home campus, and be eligible to register in "continuing" status at your home campus.
Approval will be for one term only as a visitor. If you wish to attend our campus longer, you will need to file a regular application for admissions. Classes are subject to space availability and regular application deadlines apply. Please call our Campus Service Center at 831-582-5100 to confirm deadlines or view our website for applicable deadlines.
Financial aid is available to visitors only through their home campus. Students eligible for Veterans, Rehabilitation, Social Security, and other federal, state, or county benefits must secure eligibility certification through the home campus.
Evidence of completion of course prerequisites may be required at time of enrollment (e.g., transcript, grade report).
Incoming Application Procedures
Obtain a CSU "Application for Intrasystem Visitor Enrollment" form from your home campus' Registrar's Office. Submit the completed form back to your Registrar's Office.
The home campus Registrar's Office will determine eligibility and forward the form to the Office of the Registrar at CSU Monterey Bay.
If CSUMB accepts your application, you will be mailed a special letter of admissions for visitors. If we do not grant your request, you will be notified via mail.
